This week, Year 3 enjoyed a wonderful art afternoon with a special visit from Mrs Taylor-Kublik. The children were inspired by Henri Rousseau’s famous Tiger painting and explored a range of creative techniques to produce their own mixed media artwork.
During the session, the pupils experimented with carbon printing to create bold outlines, before adding detail using coloured pencils. They also used tissue paper collage to build texture and depth, and finished their pieces with paint to bring their jungle scenes to life.
The children showed fantastic enthusiasm and creativity throughout the afternoon, and it was lovely to see them so engaged in exploring different artistic methods. A big thank you to Mrs Taylor-Kublik for leading such an inspiring and enjoyable workshop.
