As the new school year begins we start to plan our fundraising activities for the year ahead and you can see the planned dates in the full list of key dates at the end of this weeks newsletter.
AGM
The first item on the agenda is our AGM which will be held in the School Hall on 25th September from 6:30pm. All parents are welcome to attend whether you want to become a PTFA committee member, are interested to hear about what we raised in 2023/24 and how that will be spent, or if you want to offer input into the plans for the upcoming schedule. We will be looking for a new Co-Chair at this AGM to join our current Co-Chair, Charlotte Saklatvala after Charlotte Holborn steps down so if you or someone you know is interested please speak to Charlotte Saklatvala for more information.
Quiz Night
we also had a Quiz Night planned for 21st September however we have decided to postpone this event until next year. It was a very fun event last year and raised almost £1400. To ensure success like this we decided to move the event to avoid clashing with the quiz already planned by St.Peter & St. Paul’s church also in the next few weeks.
Asda CashPot
please see the attached flyer and information from your class fundraisers regarding this great initiative from Asda. Asda are donating large sums of money for primary schools in England between now and the end of November. To help, please download their “Rewards App” on your mobile phone, register and nominate “Nutfield Church Primary School” as your chosen school. For this we receive £1 even without you doing any shopping. If you then subsequently do your shopping we get 0.1% of the value of your basket. We are already up to £82.16 but it could be so much more. Please encourage family and friends to also support us if you can.
School Lottery
PTFA also run a School Lottery every week which you can sign up for online. The number of tickets purchased each week contributes to the size of the prize fund. The more participants, the bigger the prize but importantly the bigger the fund raising. Every week there will be a winner from our school so please consider if you can help.
Other ways to support – a reminder that you can also support the PTFA with Easy Fundraising which generates a % of your basket for online shopping at 1000s of stores. Please click on the following link for further information. www.easyfundraising.org.uk
We look forward to meeting you at our events in this new school year. We raised a record breaking £15,520 in the last school year and hope to break that record again this year with your support.
