A huge thank you to our PTFA, and especially to Amelia Baker, for funding five new ChompSaws to enrich our curriculum. Amelia, a trained teacher, delivered excellent, high quality training for staff. The training broadened practical skills and increased teachers’ subject knowledge, which will result in our pupils producing work of a higher standard.
Another benefit is that it will better prepare pupils for Design and Technology in Key Stage 3. At this week’s Full Governing Body meeting, governors also had an unexpected treat: they were given the opportunity to use a ChompSaw and see how this resource will have a significant impact on pupil outcomes in Design and Technology.
Once again, thank you. The PTFA’s generosity is helping us bring our vision of “living life in all its fullness” to life through creative, hands‑on learning for our pupils.
