The Bishop’s Lent Call for 2025 is raising funds for projects that help children and young people recover from trauma and which encourage their mental wellbeing.

It is supporting this type of work in the Diocese of Jerusalem and the Middle East, the Link Dioceses in Zimbabwe and our own diocese. To raise money for the Lent Appeal we are asking children to raise money through either giving something up or taking something up for the 40 days of Lent. We are encouraging children to collect sponsorship money for each day they manage this.

Sponsorship forms will be going home with the children on Friday 28th February. Lent begins on Wednesday 5th March and ends on Thursday 17th April. Children will need to bring in their sponsorship money the first week back of the Summer term. The children have the sponsorship forms in their bags.
