Year 3 had a fantastic time this week on their school trip to Wakehurst Place in Sussex. The visit focused on learning about plants, with a special emphasis on those found in the rainforest.
Pupils explored how these plants grow and adapt to their environment, bringing their classroom learning to life in an exciting and memorable way. During the day, the children took part in a range of hands-on practical activities and enjoyed a discovery walk through the beautiful grounds, where they were able to observe a wide variety of plants up close.
A huge thank you goes to Mrs Poulton, Mrs Measures and Mr Callaghan, who kindly accompanied the trip and threw themselves enthusiastically into all the activities. The trip was a great success, with Jake summing it up perfectly when he said it was “the best field trip ever!”
