A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Summer Fair such a wonderful occasion. From setting up and decorating, to running stalls, organising games, baking cakes, donating prizes, serving refreshments and clearing away afterwards, every contribution played an important part.
We are also very grateful to all the families, friends and members of the wider community who came along and supported the event. It is often the smallest acts of help — giving half an hour of your time, donating a bottle or packet of sweets, baking a cake or buying a ticket — that come together to make such a significant difference. The fair could not take place without the generosity, enthusiasm and goodwill of our school community.
We also want to share thanks to our generous sponsor Hunter & Co. They support the event by providing advertising boards around the village, bringing their fabulous giant deckchair for those photo opportunities and they also make a significant cash donation to the event. It’s great to be able to support a local business whilst also benefitting the school – thanks to Jess & Adam.
This year’s fair was particularly special as it was the final Summer Fair led by our current Chairwoman, Charlotte Saklatvala, before she leaves us at the end of the school year. Charlotte has given an extraordinary amount of time, care and hard work to the PTFA over many years. Her dedication has helped make countless events possible and has raised tens of thousands of pounds for the school. She will be greatly missed, and we are enormously grateful for everything she has contributed.
We are delighted to share that the Summer Fair raised £3350 for the PTFA. These funds will go towards supporting the school and providing valuable resources and opportunities for the children.
Thank you once again to everyone who gave their time, donated items or joined us on the day. Your support is very much appreciated.
