Last week, children in Year 3 and 4 took park in an Indian Dance Workshop. This workshop was part of their current RE unit on Sikhism but also linked with previous learning at start of the year on Hinduism.
The workshop was taught by experienced Bollywood dancer and former West End performer. India has had a long romance with the art of dance and our children were enchanted by the mixture of both graceful and upbeat movements used in traditional Indian dance.
It was an exciting opportunity for the children to experience this vast and vibrant culture, which culminated in an energetic performance at the end.
