A few weeks ago Year 5 went to Mercers Lake as part of our wider PE and sports curriculum.
The class did really well having the opportunity to try out a variety of water sports including; dinghy sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, raft building and windsurfing.
Mrs Cordey said that she was really proud of them all. The weather was amazing and the class did really well and took to the challenges with great gusto and focus. We think the PE curriculum offer of getting outside is really important helping the children build skills as they journey through the school.
We of course took some pictures of our three day residential adventure, which can be seen in the gallery below. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
