We have started to learn about The Great Fire of London. As part of this topic we will be having a visit from the Fire Brigade to teach us about old and new ways of putting out fires.
This visit will take place on the 24th January. Before the visit, I would like the children to create a small cardboard model of a 1666 building. This does not need to be anything fancy and will not be being judged.
When the Fire Brigade are here, they will be creating a town out of all the buildings, setting fire to them and teaching us how The Great Fire was extinguished. We will be filming this on the day so please look out for the forthcoming footage. We look forward to seeing all of their creations.
