On Wednesday 26th November, Mr Bowen and Miss Murray took Year 4 to the Polka theatre to see the stage adaptation of Philip Pullman’s novel ‘The Firework Maker’s Daughter’.

As part of their Guided Reading lessons during the first half of the autumn term, the class studied the book in detail. They really enjoyed seeing the book being brought to life on the stage and were excited to finally get to see how the book ended, as Mr Bowen withheld the final chapter from them.

Being able to attend these extra-curricular events is such a great learning opportunity for the children. A special thanks also to our supporting volunteers Mrs McConnell and Mrs Bhambri.
