This week, Year 3 enjoyed a jam-packed day at Chessington World of Adventures as part of their Science curriculum.
Throughout the day, the children had the opportunity to observe a wide range of animals up close and deepen their understanding of how different species are suited to their environments. The children visited SEA LIFE, Penguin Bay, Sea Lion Bay and the reindeer enclosure. They were particularly engaged during two keeper talks, learning more about reef sharks and gorillas, including their behaviour, diet and conservation. They also experienced a really fun and bumpy safari ride through Wanyama Reserve, seeing a variety of animals, before exploring the Children’s Zoo and climbing the AMAZU Treetop Walk.
It was an enjoyable and memorable day of learning and discovery. We would like to thank the staff and parent volunteers who supported the trip and helped the day run smoothly.
