This week, in English, we have started a new book to Year 2 called ‘The Dragon Machine ‘by Helen Ward.

The children were introduced to the story by going on a dragon hunt around the school which they thoroughly enjoyed! The class then created a how to take care of a dragon manual, exploring descriptive and positional language. We also engaged with the main character in the story’s thoughts and emotions through letter writing.

It is a lovely book and it has really captured the children’s imaginations!
