Monday 30th October 2023:
Despite the very heavy rain this morning, our Early Years children came into class full of smiles and laughter ready to enjoy a fun day of learning. We took some pictures of the children enjoying the varied activities, which can be seen in the galleries below. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
The Gingerbread Man!
Children came into the classroom this morning to discover a trail of flour on the floor a discarded baking tray and lots of biscuit cutters. It must be the hook to our new book -The Gingerbread Man!
Build a Bonfire!
We are learning all about fireworks and bonfire night this week. The children have been making bonfire pictures using twigs and leaves they collected from outside.
Writing & Phonics.
We have been practicing writing the refrain ‘run, run’ using our phonic knowledge.
Storytelling.
We re-told the story of the Gingerbread Man in our Small World area.
Fireworks!
We practiced our fine motor skills by drawing firework patterns in coloured sand.
Pumpkin Carving!
We enjoyed getting messy by scooping out the pulp and seeds in the pumpkins. We will save the seeds and plant them later on in the year.
