This week in the EYFS classroom our enhanced provision is based around the book ‘Supertato.’
In the Classroom:
- We have been looking at the art work of artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo inspired fruit and vegetable portrait.
- We have been using the laptops to type out a shopping list.
- We have been writing secret messages using spy pens.
- We have been using prepositional language to describe the scene from the Lion King in our curiosity cube.
- We have used vegetables and craft materials to create our own ‘super veg.’
Outdoor Learning:
- Evil Pea has been on the loose and has trapped all the vegetables. We have been creating speech bubbles to imagine what each vegetable would say.
- Evil Pea has frozen all the carrots and we needed to find a way to release them. We have been experimenting with different ways of thawing the ice, which included warm water, salt and trying to break it.
- We have been investigating magnetism and using magnets to help make our own superheroes fly.
