On Friday 17th June Year Three and Year Four took part in an Indian Dance Workshop. The workshop was part of their current R.E unit on Sikhism.
It also linked in with previous learning at the start of the year on Hinduism. Charlotte, a professional dancer, from the Indian Dance Company came in for the morning and helped the children to choreograph a Bollywood style dance.
All of the children really enjoyed the morning and got into the swing of the experience. By the end of the hour, the children, with Charlotte’s guidance, had choreographed a wonderful routine and performed it flawlessly.
Even Mr Bowen and Mr Proffitt got involved, much to the delight of the staff watching on avidly from the staff room. The whole experience was absolutely brilliant and the children should be commended for their enthusiasm and rhythm!
