The children really enjoy looking after our animals. They especially like feeding time and giving them treats.

One of the many treats our chickens enjoy are these delicious fruit peckers, which can be seen in the images below. These are made by cutting fruit (in this case, apples) into small chunks and then threading them onto some string so that they can be hung in the Chicken coop at the perfect “pecking height”.

These hanging treats also good for the animals well-being as they offer a more sensory and natural approach to feeding time.
