PTFA update – A message from the PTFA
Saturday 25th February saw our very first School Lottery prize draw. This is really easy fundraising tool for the PTFA and the good news is that family, friends, parents and teachers can all get involved. There is a weekly draw and tickets are just £1 each. There will be a prize winner in Nutfield every week but every ticket is also entered in the £25,000 jackpot draw. The PTFA get 40% of all our tickets sales so if every family at the school bought just one ticket per week we would raise nearly £2500 just like that. Wednesday 8th March – Cinema Night
Our popular cinema night is back on Wednesday 8th March and we will be showing a U rated film called Sing 2 in the school hall from 3:15pm. The ticket will include a drink plus we will serve a hotdog and ice lolly half way through the film. Tickets will be available from www.pta-events.co.uk/nutfield and will be on sale from Friday 24th February. Tickets will cost £6 per child. If your child(ren) would normally attend Ark on 8th March, but will be attending the PTFA Cinema Night, please do email the office to let them know.
Saturday 18th March – Village Quiz Night
Our Adults only quiz night also returns for 2023 but with a new venue. We will be holding our quiz in the Church Hall at Christ Church in Nutfield on Saturday 18th March from 7pm. There will be a licenced bar with beers, wines and soft drinks – cash or card accepted. Tickets include hot food provided by our very own Charlotte Holborn. Teams of between 6 and 8 people can enter but if you don’t have any team mates let us know and we can connect you with others! Parents, Carers, Teachers and Friends are all welcome at this fun event – get your team together now! Tickets numbers are limited so don’t delay! Tickets will be available from www.pta-events.co.uk/nutfield from Friday 24th February.
Easy Fundraising
The PTFA is always looking to encourage the quick and easy ways to earn some funds and Easy Fundraising is the perfect solution. Every time you purchase something online from a participating store (which includes Amazon, M&S, John Lewis and many more) the PTFA will earn a small % of your purchase. All you have to remember is to access the website via Easy Fundraising. Please go to www.easyfundraising.org.uk sign up and then select Nutfield Church Primary as your supported charity. Again this is another one you can share with family and friends and ask them to support us too.
Chairperson / Co-Chairs Recruitment
The PTFA is once again on the look out for a new Chairperson or two Co-chairs. We have a strong team of class volunteers across all the year groups and Charlotte Saklatvala is the PTFA treasurer, so whoever takes the role will be well supported. We are happy to consider Mums and Dads from the school but also those in the wider community with strong links to the school or a keen interest in supporting our fundraising efforts so please speak to anyone who you think may be interested and willing.
