Monday 6th November 2023:
We had another fun packed start to the week this Monday in Early Years. Here are a few of the highlights captured in a selection of galleries below. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
Remembrance day:
We have been learning about Remembrance day in the EYFS classroom. We made poppies to remember those who fought in the Great Wars.
‘Wanted’ posters:
We have been making ‘wanted’ posters to see if we can catch that Gingerbread Man, who keeps running away from us!
Making puppets:
We have been making puppets to retell the story of the Gingerbread Man and used the puppet theatre to put on a show.
Making bridges with Duplo:
We have been making bridges with Duplo so the Gingerbread Man doesn’t need to climb on the fox’s back to cross the river
Gingerbread Men:
We have been making our own Gingerbread Men with brown playdoh which smells like ginger!
Experiments:
We have conducted an experiment to see what happens when the Gingerbread Man falls into different puddles. We had a puddle of oil, a puddle of apple juice, a puddle of water and a puddle of vinegar.
CVC words:
We have been practising forming CVC words using magnets and foil trays.
Painting “Harder to Read and Spell” words:
We have been painting Harder to Read and Spell words to help us remember them.
