During our Farm Friday session, the children made ‘Leaf animals.’ The children were encouraged to think about the shapes they may need for their animal and were encouraged to explore and gather as many natural resources as they could find from the school grounds.

Once the children had made their basic shapes, they were invited to add more features such as eyes, tails and wings. After they had finished the children showed each other the animal they had created and explained why they chose that animal.
