On Thursday the 9th of November the Hobgoblin Theatre Company came to school to perform ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears.’ This term, in the EYFS classroom we are learning about Traditional Tales such as Little Red Riding Hood, The Gingerbread Man and Jack and the Beanstalk this term, so this production really helped bring the story to life for the children.
After we enjoyed the production, the children participated in a drama workshop. In the workshop the actors talked to the children about the different types of characters they met in traditional tales – both good and bad. The children learnt how to use facial expressions and their body language to depict whether a character was a ‘goodie’ or a ‘badie.’ They also learnt how to become an enchanted forest using their bodies and also a spooky wood.
