Our value this term is “HOPE”. Christians believe that Jesus died on a cross but was resurrected 3 days later. This gives Christians hope. Hope can be found all around us. It can be found in people, in art and in literature.
In “The Lion, The With & The Wardrobe”, when Aslan died in Edmund’s place, the White Witch thought she had won. But Aslan’s good magic was stronger and deeper than the White Witch’s bad magic. Aslan came back to life again. He was resurrected and he brought HOPE back to Narnia.
Year 4 thought about hope. They thought about someone they knew who was having a difficult time and wrote a prayer of hope or thought onto a bauble and hung it on our tree display, which can be seen in the foyer.
We took some pictures of the display, which can be seen in the gallery below. Please click on the thumbnails for a larger view.
